Manual Peyote Seeds

Growing lophophora williamsii or any other cacti isn’t too difficult if you just get some basic essentials right. To make things easy right from the start and to help ensure maximum success with raising your own cacti and succulents from seed we also provide detailed and easy growing instructions.

Lophophora williamsii (Peyote) is a native of Mexico and the Southern US which means it loves very dry and sun-drenched growing conditions. Peyote grows best in very mineral soil. A mix of 50% sand, 25% grit or bims and 25% regular potting soil has proven to the best growing medium for these types of special cacti.

When you grow Peyote, ensure a minimum temperature of 10ºC and plenty of direct sunlight and your Peyote cacti will be thriving. Peyote will grow to a pale green cactus with a globular shape with pink/white flowers.

    Gute Keimrate

It's not as easy sometimes, if you don't see something after 3 weeks don't give up
I germinated all of the seeds at different times The first set I planted was in March so it was quite cold and one night the heat matt turned off and they died over night which was more sad then I thought it would be haha I planted more in April in South facing sun this time in my warm living room After 3 weeks nothing had happened I presumed the seeds would not germinate Out of laziness I left the cup on my desk and a week later I was sitting in my room and out of the corner of my eye notice this green ball in the cup Could not believe it there It was 1 with another coming up beside it! A mistake I made with the first lot was I put too many holes or too large on week 3 or 4 and that also killed them This time I only put 3 or 4 holes in the top with a small needle and another 3 the week after I also put them in with a blue/red grow light I have now so they are starting to grow large and ball shaped A 3rd also decided to join the 2 now so all 3 of the seeds in the cup germinated These guys defo are a little vulnerable to condition changes Hope you guys grows work out better I used a plastic ice coffee cup with plastic over the top and a band holding it together This worked better then a lunch box I also tried to use You can see online people using cups The manual included with this is very good too!
