Vodka Lemon takes the very potent Amnesia Molotov and adds proper Afghan hardiness, which is why a plant that stretches to nearly 1.5m indoors still finishes in 60 to 65 days.

The Express Line: Off The Plant Before The Rain Arrives

Express is the sub-line to know. Big Altai Sativa Express, AK Kush Express, Kalashnikov Express, Purple Russian Express, White Critical Express, Soyuz OG Express, Baikal Express and Kabul Express all sit under that badge, Kabul Express being a dense 1989 indica. The point of the badge is flowering time measured against the strain's own type, not against autoflowers.

AK Kush Express is the clearest example of what that buys you. It finishes in 50 to 60 days, stops around 80 to 100cm, and hits roughly 20% THC, with resin so thick on the cured nuggets they look like they'd shatter if you dropped them. Two weeks before harvest your grow space smells of tangy citrus sorbet, sharp enough that a carbon filter stops being optional. Indoors, 600g/m² is realistic, and outdoors it can push past a kilo per plant in eastern and northern Europe, where those shorter summers stop being a problem.

Watch out for the obvious trap: Express does not mean auto. Big Altai Sativa Express still takes 70 to 75 days of flowering, it's just doing that as an almost pure sativa (90%) at a manageable 100 to 140cm rather than the four-month monster you'd normally expect. Which Pack We'd Run First, And Which One We'd Leave For Later

The AK family is where new growers should start. AK Kush, AK Kush Express, AK Skunk, AK Skunk Auto, White Widow 47 and Kalashnikov Original all keep the tough, forgiving side of that lineage. White Russian OG is the other easy pick: 70% indica, rarely over 120cm, 55 to 65 days of flowering, and thanks to its Eastern parentage it puts up with a bit of grower error. Some phenos come in around 23% THC, and the buds finish so frosted with resin they're worth keeping aside for hash. The smoke is uplifting up top and heavy in the legs, with pine and forest greenery, then melon and passion fruit underneath.

Siberian Haze is the one we'd save for your second or third run. It's 65% sativa at 90 to 120cm, 65 to 75 days in flower, and it needs staking or a SCRoG net to hold up that load of long, slender buds. Get it right and you're looking at up to 550g/m² indoors or 1200g per plant outside, with spicy, faintly fruity smoke at around 22% THC. Get it wrong and you spend week nine tying branches back together. Vodka Lemon is a middle option, fast for a sativa-dominant plant and unmistakable on the palate, all sharp lemon, like the drink on ice. Lavanda Cream goes the other way entirely: Crimean lavender in the jar, whipped cream on the exhale, and a properly sedative 80% indica effect that puts an end to your evening.

Whatever you pick, feed steadily rather than heavily and give the Express strains their full time in flower. On AK Kush Express in particular the buds swell in the last fortnight, so pulling early costs you real resin.
