White Widow seeds grow the strain that put Dutch coffeeshops on the map: a Brazilian sativa crossed with a South Indian indica, resin-caked to the point the buds look dusted with sugar. Where White Widow came from

The cross was a Brazilian landrace sativa with a resin-heavy indica from South India, and Green House Seeds carried it to the world in the 1990s. Paradise Seeds still sells an Original White Widow at 22% THC over 8 to 9 weeks. The White Label version is the one most people picture: 20% THC, 9 to 10 weeks, and high yields indoors.

Feminized, auto, or a cross

The straight versions

Feminized is what most growers want: bigger harvest, and you choose when flowering starts. Autoflowers run on a clock instead, and Auto White Widow from Pyramid Seeds is the strongest of them at 23% THC in 8 to 9 weeks from seed.

The crosses are where it gets interesting

White Widow has been bred into half the modern catalogue. Ultra White Amnesia pairs it with Amnesia Haze for 22% THC over 9 to 10 weeks. Gorilla x White Widow from Expert Seeds brings GG4 into the mix at 25% and finishes in 7 to 8 weeks. White Critical Express is the sprinter, done in 6 to 7 weeks at 21%. And if you just want the biggest number on the page, White Fire OG hits 30% THC, though it takes 9 to 10 weeks and it is a different plant entirely.

Growing it, honestly

Two things worth knowing before you order. First, the resin is not marketing: pick a White Widow bud apart and your fingers stick together, which is exactly why it became a hash strain. Second, a lot of the older White Widow listings on this page give no THC percentage at all, only medium or high, and we would rather say that than invent a figure.
