Origins of White Widow
White Widow initially hit the cannabis scene in the 1990s. Its creation is often attributed to Green House Seeds, a seed bank hailing from the Netherlands. However, the details regarding the true origins of White Widow are hazy at best, with many conflicting takes on how this legendary strain came to be. Regardless of who was the first, it was created by crossing a Brazilian landrace sativa with a resinous indica from South India.
The potent combination of these two strains more or less resulted in the White Widow we know and love today—as very little has changed in terms of her flavour, aroma, and effect.
