Harvest, Dry & Cure: Curing Jars, Containers and Racks

Say you have two plants coming down this weekend. You need three things in order: somewhere with airflow for the wet buds, an airtight container for the curing weeks, and something inside it to keep the humidity level. All three steps live on this shelf, together with the gloves and labels that keep harvest day tidy. The lights, tents and fans that got you here sit back in the growshop.

Hang It Up: The Drying Rack Step

The Zamnesia Herb Drying Rack springs open like a pop-up tent, so give it space when you unpack it. Hang it somewhere cool, dark and dry, the inside of a grow tent or a big cupboard both work, then spread your buds across the shelves so they do not touch or overlap. Each layer takes roughly 150 g of dry herbs. Let them dry for 1-2 weeks and check on them regularly, with a fan running in the room for extra airflow. Watch out: the fan is not included, so that is a separate buy. Compared with stringing up a washing line across your spare room, the rack shakes clean and folds back into its carry bag.

Curing Containers and Jars, and Which Size Actually Fits

The Zamnesia Curing Container is stainless steel with an airtight lid, in 0.3 l, 0.65 l and 1 l, and it comes with a Humidity Control Pack in the box. The Weed Curing Jar is a German-made mason jar in extra-thick glass; the galvanized wire bracket and red rubber ring snap shut with one flick of the lever, and sizes run from Small (255 ml) to Xtra Large (1140 ml). Honest note on that one: XL jars currently ship with a white sealing ring instead of the red one in the photos. If you like eyeing your stash without cracking the lid, the VacuFresh Glass Jar uses 2.5 mm borosilicate glass and a vacuum button in the lid, and it needs handling with a bit of care. 62% or 55%: Picking a Humidity Pack

The Humidity Control Pack comes in 8 g and 67 g, needs no activation, and holds a steady 62% humidity. Peel off the clear outer plastic, drop it in, then swap it once the pack feels dry and stiff between your fingers. Integra Boost 55 sits lower at 55%, and the Terpene Essentials versions add limonene, myrcene or beta-caryophyllene. Boveda Humidipaks do the same job in a jar. Grove Bags TerpLoc pouches handle moisture through the bag itself, with a Window Pouch if you want to look in and an Opaque Pouch if you would rather not. One thing to watch: an 8 g pack in a litre-class container is working hard, so size the pack to the volume.

Gloves, Pocket Microscopes and Labels You Will Be Glad You Bought
