Thirty-five products sit on this shelf and most of them are food. Here is what each group is for, and what nobody is allowed to promise you about any of it.
Start with the part most shops skip. Under EU food law no supplement may be sold with a claim about how fast or how much weight you will lose. That rule exists because those claims were almost never true. So you will not find a fat burner on this page or a promise of kilos gone by Friday, and you should be suspicious of any shop that hands you one. What you will find is a shelf of foods, fibres, herbs and vitamins that people use around a diet they have already decided on.
Only a short list of authorised wordings genuinely touches this territory. Chromium contributes to normal macronutrient metabolism and to the maintenance of normal blood glucose levels, and one product here, Healthy Weight, carries 150 micrograms of it per daily dose, which is 375 percent of the reference intake. Protein contributes to the maintenance of muscle mass, which is why Hemp Protein at 48 percent and organic soy chunks sit on this shelf at all. Vitamin D contributes to normal muscle function. That is the honest list, and everything else here is food.
Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) is what people reach for when the problem is not the food but the week around it. We stock 50 grams of shredded root or powder as well as a standardised root extract in capsules. The Ayurvedic history is well documented; the cortisol story you will read elsewhere is still under evaluation by EFSA, so take it as context rather than as a claim.
Triphala is three dried Indian fruits ground together, amla, bibhitaki and haritaki, and it is a genuine Ayurvedic staple rather than a modern invention. Amla is sold separately here too, bitter and astringent and high in vitamin C. Our organic ginger comes germ-reduced, which keeps the gingerols but takes the edge off the heat, so it stirs into a morning drink without making your eyes water.
Chlorella vulgaris runs up to 60 percent complete protein and brings B and C vitamins with it. Spirulina is a blue-green alga rich in plant protein and in thiamin, riboflavin and niacin. If you would rather not weigh powder into a glass every morning, the Chlorella & Spirulina tablets press both into one dose. Chia seeds (Salvia hispanica) are the fibre entry that needs no equipment at all, a spoon into yoghurt and they gel.
Herbal Detox Tea is fourteen ingredients, liquorice forward, with cinnamon, burdock, dandelion root, fennel, juniper berries and turmeric behind it. Detox is not an authorised claim and we are not making one; this is a warm ritual with a strong flavour. Japanese sencha is the plainer daily cup, whole leaf, and Matcha Powder is the same plant taken further.
Work backwards from the habit you can actually keep, then check that the form fits it. A loose powder needs a scale and a rinsed glass, a tea needs a kettle, a capsule needs nothing.
| If your routine needs | Look at | Why |
|---|---|---|
| fibre alongside a meal | Psyllium Husk, Chia Seeds | psyllium swells fast and wants a full glass of water; chia can go in whole |
| protein without meat | Hemp Protein (48%), Soy Chunks | protein contributes to the maintenance of muscle mass |
| a warm daily ritual | Herbal Detox Tea, Japanese Sencha | flavour first, nothing to measure, easy to keep up |
| a fixed measured dose | Healthy Weight, Berberine | capsules, no scale, no guesswork |
| a winter nutrient gap | Vega Vitamin D3, Vitamin D Spray | vitamin D contributes to normal muscle function |
Two products on this shelf deserve a slow read. Healthy Weight contains chitosan derived from shellfish, so it is neither vegan nor safe with a shellfish allergy, and its green tea content means you should not stack it with other green tea products, keeping total EGCG under 800 milligrams a day. Diet Drops are a 43 percent alcohol tincture built on guarana, mate, kola, ginseng and Rhamnus frangula, the last of which is a stimulant laxative rather than something to take indefinitely. Neither is suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Maitake powder is dosed by body weight, at 500 milligrams per 15 kilograms.
None of this replaces a varied diet, and the packaging on every product here says so because it must. A supplement is a small lever. Fibre helps a smaller meal feel finished, protein protects the muscle you already carry while you eat less, and a decent cup of tea is a habit you can hold on a bad week. The rest is food, sleep and movement. Any shop telling you otherwise is selling you the promise the law took away for good reason.
