Solfire Gardens Seeds

Solfire Gardens is a Pacific Northwest seed company that built its name on pheno hunting rather than volume. The house style is easy to spot once you know it: colour, heavy frost, and terpene profiles that refuse to sit quietly in a jar. Every strain on this page is feminized and photoperiod, so you decide when the flip happens. Below you will find all twelve in stock, plus where the genetics come from and what to expect once they are in the ground.

Solfire Gardens seeds: the breeder and the twelve strains

Twelve strains, one breeder, and a house style you can pick out of a line-up. What follows is where the genetics come from, which strain answers which question, and what actually happens once the seeds are in soil.

Who is Solfire Gardens?

By the company's own account, Solfire traces back to 2015, when its founder, a University of Washington biology student in Seattle, turned a fascination with pheno hunting into a seed bank. The operation still runs on that principle. Solfire tests its own releases before they reach anyone else, and the brand motto, Rise like a Phoenix, gets stamped on most of what leaves the building.

The strain that put them on the map is The Don Mega, a GMO x Black Banana cross that took third place for Best Indica Flower at the 2018 High Times Cannabis Cup in Michigan. We do not carry Don Mega itself, but you can taste its influence: it is a parent of Lung Buster, one of the twelve below.

Founded in 2015, Solfire is young by seed bank standards, and the catalogue works accordingly. Releases come as limited drops rather than a permanent range, so a terpene profile you get on with this season is not guaranteed to come back next one. Worth bearing in mind if you find one you like.

The best Solfire Gardens strains to start with

Twelve strains is a lot to weigh up at once, so here are the four that answer the most common questions we get about this breeder.

Barf Breath

The one people either love or back away from. Don Mega crossed with Giggle Gas gives you sweet garlic, chemical funk and a dankness that lives up to the name. Indica-dominant, up to 25% THC, 8 to 9 weeks of flowering and up to 650 g/m2 indoors. If you have ever enjoyed GMO, this is your lane.

Lemon Elixir

Lemon OG meets Last Supper. Bright citrus Kush with a clean eucalyptus note underneath, 28% THC, and one of the two fastest finishers here at 56 to 63 days. Compact, resin-heavy, foxtailed buds with pink and purple showing through the trichomes.

Bahama Berry

The gentlest introduction to the range. Strawberry Jelly crossed with Bahama Mama, up to 25% THC, and a resilient plant that does as well outdoors as it does under lights. Expect fresh strawberry and jam, deep green through to deep purple, and up to 550 g/m2 indoors after 8 to 9 weeks.

Trich Beast

The only sativa-leaning strain Solfire has here, at 60% sativa to 40% indica. Bahama Mama crossed with Giggle Gas, sharp citrus over earthy pine, 20 to 25% THC, and the frostiest of the twelve. It also takes the longest, at 63 to 70 days, which is the trade for that trichome load.

What makes Solfire Gardens seeds different

Read the twelve lineages side by side and a pattern shows up fast. Last Supper appears in four of them: Gasserole, Lemon Elixir, Strawmata and Sundae Supper. Udder Madness appears in another four: Lung Buster, Miami Madness, Terpgasm and Yummy Yummy. Bahama Mama, Gas Guzzler, Giggle Gas, Don Mega and Sin n' Juice each turn up twice. This is not a catalogue of unrelated one-offs, it is a small stable of proven parents worked in different directions.

The practical upshot is that the flavours cluster into families. Gasserole smells like a gas station bakery, all candied grapefruit, banana and pineapple with fuel underneath, and Sundae Supper lands in the same dessert territory from a different angle. Then Barf Breath goes somewhere else entirely, and Sinfero pushes the potency ceiling to 28 to 32%, the highest here. Every pack holds six seeds, except Yummy Yummy, which comes as a three.

All twelve are feminized photoperiod genetics, so there are no autoflowers in this brand at Zamnesia and you will need to run a 12/12 flip yourself. If that is not what you want, the seed shop has plenty that is.

Growing Solfire Gardens seeds

Flowering time sits at 8 to 10 weeks for most of the catalogue, with Strawmata the one strain that beats it at 7 to 8 weeks. Trich Beast and Lung Buster take the longest. Indoor yields sit between 550 and 650 g/m2 on the strains that publish a figure, and outdoor plants regularly hit 1100 to 1200 g each by late September or early October. Miami Madness will stretch to 250 cm outside while staying near 120 cm in a tent, so give it room if you plant it out.

Which Solfire strains need more experience

Two of the twelve are not beginner strains, and it is worth knowing which before you buy. Lung Buster packs its buds densely enough to trap moisture, so it wants real airflow through the canopy. Terpgasm is the fussier one: it rewards humidity pushed up towards 60% during flowering, which is exactly the range where bud rot starts if you overshoot. Strawmata is the odd one out on data, with no published yield figure at all. If you would rather start easy, the beginner strains section is a softer landing, and the top 10 USA cannabis strains page covers the wider American scene Solfire sits in.

Solfire Gardens: common questions

Where is Solfire Gardens from?

Solfire Gardens is a Pacific Northwest seed company. By its own account it started in 2015 in Seattle, founded by a University of Washington biology student who was drawn to pheno hunting.

Are all Solfire Gardens seeds feminized?

Yes. Every Solfire Gardens strain stocked at Zamnesia is feminized and photoperiod, so you will not get male plants and you set the flowering trigger yourself with a 12/12 light schedule. There are no autoflowering Solfire strains in our range.

Which Solfire Gardens strain is the strongest?

Sinfero is the strongest of the twelve at 28 to 32% THC, followed by Gasserole at 25 to 30% and Lemon Elixir at 28%. Trich Beast and Lung Buster sit at the gentler end of the range at 20 to 25%.

How long do Solfire Gardens strains take to flower?

Between 7 and 10 weeks depending on the strain. Strawmata is the fastest at 7 to 8 weeks, while Trich Beast takes 63 to 70 days and Lung Buster needs 9 to 10 weeks. Most of the range finishes in 8 to 9 weeks.

How many seeds are in a Solfire Gardens pack?

Six seeds per pack for eleven of the twelve strains. Yummy Yummy is the exception and comes in a three-seed pack.
