Morning Glory (Ipomoea tricolor): A Mayan Ceremonial Vine
Morning Glory is a fast-growing annual twining vine in the Convolvulaceae family, native to Mexico and Central America and now cultivated across the world. Known scientifically as Ipomoea tricolor, the plant has a documented history of ceremonial use among the ancient Maya. Seeds of this species contain lysergic acid amide (LSA), an indole alkaloid and lysergamide chemically related to compounds such as LSD. Each pack contains 10g of seeds.
Trumpet Flowers and Heart-Shaped Leaves
The plant grows up to 8-10 feet tall, with heart-shaped, pubescent green leaves and striking trumpet-shaped flowers in purple, pink, blue, or white. Flowers open in the morning and fade by evening. Named cultivars include 'Heavenly Blue', 'Rainbow Flash', and 'Wedding Bells'.

Beim Aussäen muss man beachten dass sie es sehr warm mögen. Ich habe die ersten im Februar auf der Fensterbank vorgezogen - spärliches, fast kränkliches Aussehen, kaum Wachstum. Was sich erst geändert hat, als es richtig warm wurde. Zweiter Schwung ausgesät im Juni - man kann zuschauen wie sie wachsen. Immenser Wasserbedarf!

Die himmelblaue Prunkwinde ist eine wunderschöne kletternde Winde mit schönen hellblauen bis violetten Blüten. Ursprünglich stammt diese Pflanze aus Mexiko, wo sie mehrjährig wächst. Da sie nicht winterhart ist, wird die Trichterwinde bei uns einjährig kultiviert. Das besondere Kennzeichen dieser Kletterpflanze ist ihre Blütenfülle. Die leuchtenden Blüten öffnen sich bei Sonnenaufgang und sind bei Sonnenuntergang auch schon verblüht. Da sie aber laufend neue Blüten bildet, nimmt die Pracht bis zum Herbst kein Ende.
