Sakae Naa - Produces effects remarkably similar to Kratom
Sakae Naa (Binomial name Combretum quadrangulare) is a tree of the family Combretaceae, growing up to a height of up to 10m. It is native to Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand, where parts of the plant are used to treat venereal diseases (root and wood), muscular pain (leaves) and roundworm and threadworm infestations (seeds, roots and leaves). Moreover, extracts from the seeds display antibacterial properties. But Sakae Naa is also used as a Kratom substitute because its effects are remarkably similar to it - it is energizing, stimulating and mildly sedating, where the effect lasts up to 4 hours. However, Sakae Naa is less potent than Mitragyna speciosa, thus it is offered in this extracted form.
