Lion's Mane (Hericium erinaceus) Extract: More Than Just a Mushroom

Native to North America, Asia, and Europe, where it forms large, shaggy growths on dead tree trunks, the lion's mane (Hericium erinaceus) mushroom has become of huge interest in the West in recent years. However, in countries like Japan, Korea, and China, lion's mane has a rich and long history of use in local cuisine and traditional holistic practices, serving as a delicious source of protein, carbohydrates, and fibre, as well as bioactive plant compounds. For example, lion's mane is a great source of polysaccharides, hericenones, erinacines, alkaloids, and natural steroids. This extract contains a minimum of 30% polysaccharides—to make 1kg of extract with such high concentrations, 10–12kg of lion's mane mushroom powder is needed.

Ingredients: Lion's mane extract (Hericium erinaceus)
