Organic Camu Camu Powder - An Amazonian Superfood Loaded With Vitamin C

Camu camu, or Myrciaria dubia, is a small, bushy tree native to the Amazon rainforest regions of Peru and Brasil, where it grows naturally on river beds. Its small, sour berries contain 3g of vitamin C per 100g of fresh fruit (compared to lemon juice, which contains roughly 30–40mg of vitamin C per 100g). Alongside vitamin C, camu camu berries also contain other powerful antioxidants, such as anthocyanins and ellagic acid. This high-quality, concentrated camu camu powder is made from fresh fruits collected by hand from the rivers of Peru. The berries are peeled, pressed, and dried slowly at low temperatures, before being ground into a fine powder ideal for use as a daily supplement.

Advisory information

Take 3–5g of powder per day. Note that natural camu camu is very sour and best added to smoothies, juices, yoghurt, or other foods to help mask its taste.

Camu camu can last for up to 2 years in its original sealed bag. Once opened, keep camu camu powder in an airtight container. Store in a cool, dry place away from the reach of children. Do not freeze, and keep out of direct light.
