Zamnesia Seeds - Apple Fritter Automatic: Harvest the Best US Bud in Just 10 Weeks

Apple Fritter Automatic is a 50-50 cross between two very popular California-bred strains: Sour Apple, an ultra-potent indica-dominant hybrid of Sour Diesel and Cinderella 99, and Animal Cookies, a unique clone-only Cookies variety. By blending these two Cali classics, Zamnesia has created a stable indica-dominant auto that delivers very high THC levels (up to 23%), an excellent high, and delicious aromas and flavours.

In the grow room, Apple Fritter Auto is a true pleasure. Its height rarely exceeds 100cm, and its structure is typical of an indica; think short internodes, thick, dark-green foliage, and vigorous growth. While Zamnesia’s photoperiod Apple Fritter responds extremely well to both low and high-stress training, Apple Fritter Automatic is best left to its own devices due to its short life cycle (which averages about 70 days from seed to harvest).

During veg, this strain grows extremely quickly. You should see it reach its maximum height roughly 4 weeks after its seedling phase. By this stage, Apple Fritter Auto should be riddled with healthy foliage and bud sites. To promote the best growth, transplant this strain to a rich super soil as soon as it enters the vegetative phase (roughly 7–14 days from germination). Autos can be very sensitive to chemical nutrients, which is why we always recommend using organics where possible.

Once Apple Fritter Auto begins flowering, you can expect its buds to develop extremely quickly, taking on a thick, tight structure after just a couple of weeks. If you’re growing in super soil, consider supplementing with natural phosphorous-rich teas and molasses to promote bud growth and stimulate trichome production. If you’re using chemical fertilisers, on the other hand, be careful not to overfeed. After several weeks of flowering, Apple Fritter Automatic will reward you with yields of around 400–450g/m² indoors and 80–180g/plant outdoors—quite impressive even for a modern autoflower.

Now that the hard work is over, it’s time to light up Apple Fritter Auto and transcend. This well-balanced hybrid will quickly stimulate your mind with positive energy while simultaneously soothing your body. True to its name, Apple Fritter Automatic boasts a delicious aroma laced with hints of green apples, baked goods, and earthy undertones. Whether you’re looking to kick-start your day, get creative, or just enjoy an uplifting strain with friends, Apple Fritter Auto is a true delight.

Tolle Sache!

Smooth, easy but nowhere near as big as some others
We don't have a lot of equipment; we wanted a low-effort easy first grow and only had one 40 Watt grow light which she had to share with her sisters. In the end, we ended up with around 7 grams of dried buds. Not nearly as much as some others are getting with this, but then again, this was more of a "window grow" for us & a little late in the year. Anyway, we're still happy as is extremely smooth to smoke and gives a nice high. Somewhat uplifting but no paranoia. Flavour and smell are not super strong, but pleasantly sweet and a little earthy. Diary: 27 July: Planted in seedling soil (pokon organic -- just a bit fluffier and less nutrients). 3 August (1 week): first visible shoot. Watered daily up to this point. 21 August (2.5 wks after shoot): Transferred to canvas pot. Plant had 3 nodes with triple-fingered leaves. Normal potting soil (central park). Start some low stress training (tying top to the side of the pot). Still in south-facing window. Sunny days. Next time, I'll use a plastic starter pot as I probably damaged the roots a little getting it out of the terracotta one. Small amounts of water every other day. From 28 August: basic liquid feed (756 NPK). Soil had nutrients so small amounts once per week to start. Two side shoots start to form. 12 September (5.5 wks): first sign of a flower at the top. This seemed very early to me as the plant was fairly small, but not much I can do. Watering every 3 days and most days, she's sharing a 40 Watt light with her sisters now. Last nutrients 22 September -- in hindsight, this was too early. 29 September (8 wks): counting 9 big flower bunches + a few smaller ones. Plant grew a fair bit still, but seems to have stopped. Trichromes starting to go milky. 17 October (76 days since first shoot): harvested! Super covered in trichromes. Bottom ones weren't quite white yet, but all the pistils had dried up and turned orange.
