The Herb Named After a Helmet: Skullcap (Scutellaria galericulata)
Skullcap gets its name from the distinctive shape of its flowers. Each small bloom sits inside a calyx that curves into a tight helmet-like cup, and that shape is reflected in both the common name and the Latin species name: galericulata, from the Latin for a small hood or cap. The plant belongs to the Lamiaceae family, the same family as mint, and grows as a low perennial across Europe and North America. It favours wet habitats, marshes, stream banks, and damp meadows, where it produces square stems and small opposite leaves. The aerial parts, leaves and flowering tops, are the portions used, dried and shredded for preparation.
How to Use Skullcap
The dried herb is prepared as a tea infusion. Add the shredded herb to hot water and allow it to steep. The taste is bitter, which reflects the presence of scutellarin, a bitter glycoside found in this species. The bitterness is noticeable but not harsh, and sits in line with other herbs from the mint family. This 50g pack provides loose dried herb ready to use straight away.

interessante Alternative zu tabak und auch als Tee nicht schlecht
Habs für Tee, als Tabak-ersatz und für den Vaporizer gekauft.
Es kann für alle 3 benutzt werden und ist recht angenehm.
Eine besondere Wirkung habe ich nicht festgestellt in den kleinen Mengen die ich verwendet habe.
Zum mixen mit anderem Tee-sorten oder Canabis im Joint/Vaporizer ganz gut
Geschmackssache - Taste It
Für mich (Generation X) eine gute Alternative mit wenig Eigengeschmack und angenehmen Geruch - jedoch kein Tabakersatz. Die erste Testrolle war Pur, Helmkraut mit Runtz Automatic (Zamnesia Seeds, feminisiert) - leckere hightere Süßigkeit! Im Gegensatz zu Tabak empfand ich ein leichtes kratzen im Hals und musste gelegentlich Husten. Die zweite Testrolle im 1:1 Mix aus Helmkraut und Tabak "ohne Zusatzstoffe" war perfekt.
Fazit: Wie alles bleibt es Geschmackssache, dennoch würde ich das Helmkraut empfehlen zu testen.

Guter Tabakersatz
Hat beim Eigengeschmack lediglich ganz leichte Anflüge von Tee, ist aber ein sehr guter und sonst neutraler Ersatz für Tabak
