ROYAL QUEEN SEEDS - SPECIAL QUEEN 1: SOME GROWERS REPORTED PLANTS OF 13+ FEET
The feminized Special Queen 1 by Royal Queen Seeds is a classic Skunk with Mexican, Colombian, and Afghan genes. But before you consider growing this highly productive plant—do you really have the space for it? That is a serious question as these plants swiftly reach a height of about 5 feet indoors. Outdoors, when it has the space to fully stretch, it has been known to hit an almost unheard of 13 feet. More realistic is around 10 feet, but that’s still super tall! Despite its height, everything else about its growth is straightforward.
Special Queen 1 thrives in both hydro and soil, and is an excellent candidate for ScrOG and SOG setups. Special Queen 1 produces plants with a potency level of 14–18%, offering a long-lasting, physically soothing sensation. Although it is a 50/50 sativa/indica hybrid, Special Queen 1 has a pretty short flowering time of only 8 weeks, with some growers opting to harvest one week earlier. However, we recommend allowing the full 8 weeks for the buds to fully mature if possible. This way, it’ll be ready to harvest outdoors around the end of September. Indoors, one can expect a yield of about 18–23 ounces per square yard.
Outdoors, this figure could be much greater per plant. Unfortunately, cooler, rainier climates like those in northern Europe may not produce plants or yields of the same caliber as those grown in, say, southern Spain. But, who knows? With global warming, maybe this summer will be warm enough after all.
