Royal AK is a blend of Columbian, Mexican, Thai and Afghan genetics. And yes, it is Royal Queen Seeds' version of the world-famous AK 47 - and it is a highly potent version with a THC level of 19% and yields in the range of 500-550g/m². Royal AK is a 60% Sativa/40% Indica hybrid, but the strong effect on the body gives the lie to the Sativa dominance.
Royal Queen Seeds - Royal AK: Incredibly robust vigor and reliable yields
The world-famous AK 47 is notorious for sending novice smokers to sleep and Royal AK by Royal Queen Seeds is no different. This blend of Columbian, Mexican, Thai and Afghan genetics is a 60% Sativa/40% Indica hybrid, but the appearance of the plant and the strong effect on the body defy the Sativa dominance.
Royal AK is suited for both indoor and outdoor cultivation and is definitely a good choice for the inexperienced grower - she is easy to grow and exhibits an incredibly robust vigor and reliable yields. Reared indoors the plants attain their final height of 80-140cm at the end of the 8-9 weeks flowering period, yielding 500-550g/m². Planted outdoors the plants will reach a height of 130-160cm and are ready for harvesting in early October with plants laden with around 600-650 grams each. And a whopping 19% of the yield are THC!
While the quality and potency of the yield may be royal, the aroma exuded by the maturing buds later in the flowering phase is probably not so aristocratic. While you may enjoy the thick smell of berry fruit mixed with diesel, your neighbors could have a completely different opinion, so make sure your carbon filters and ventilation are in good condition.
Royal AK develops solid buds with only a small number of leaves covered with a layer of resin crystals, just like the whole bud itself. The taste of the smoke is sugary and yet somehow stale with a dash of pine. The induced inebriation is a nicely balanced mix of eased mind and relaxed body, freed from pain and tenseness, both physically and mentally.
