Chrystal is a feminized member of the White family that has been created by crossing two famous strains with international reputations; a White Widow and a Northern Light. It produces big buds that are sticky from all the resin and give a high, that hits really fast. The buds exude a pungent smell that resembles kerosene.
Chrystal is a first place winner of the Dutch High Life Cup in 2002 with a kerosene-like aroma.
Chrystal is a descendant with celebrity ancestors and is heading for its own fame now. To breed Chrystal, White Widow, a tall plant with delicate branches and resin coated buds, was backcrossed with the famous Northern Light, a strain that tends to the Sativa traits with its strong energetic kick. Chrystal is easier to manicure and dry, so it will probably overtake its ancestors popularity in the (near?) future.
Chrystal is intended for indoor growing and is easy and predictable. It can produce a harvest of 500g per plant and the THC level of the crop is 15 to 20%. Chrystal is already pretty popular among experienced and beginner growers. This F1 hybrid grows almost furiously, so it should be monitored closely. By the end of the flowering period, all branches will need some support. Its growth structure makes it ideal for growing in a SOG environment, but it can be grown in greenhouses as well; it can become 2m high and yield up to 700g then. Indoors, it yields an average of 400-500g/m2.
Chrystal's resin coated buds have a distinct kerosene scent and serve a fast hitting high, that buzzes both the body and mind. This "allround" high with its power and balance, reflects all the features of its parents highs. The plants flavors and aromas can vary depending on the used medium; soil based growing for example brings out more complex aroma and flavor, while hydro diminishes the odor.
