Basil 'Dark Opal' (Ocimum basilicum) Seeds
Like normal basil, Dark Opal basil is best sown indoors. Keep your seedlings on a warm windowsill as they develop their roots and first leaves, then bring them outside in mid/late spring. Like most herbs, basil likes well-draining soil and partial shade/full sun, and is best watered sparingly (in the morning to give the roots time to dry). Use in a variety of cuisines and as a natural insecticide.

amazing cultivar!!
A beautiful pot of 1m high plants about 6-7 i had in a 15L Pot with multiple toppings last year. Those plant looked just beautiful and the pesto from it was so delicious, with a "liquorice" hint of taste in there. and got so so many seeds in em for later! these plants were so robust! i put a calendula with it in the pot which was full of aphids! But i had NOT 1 on the basil! i strongly recommend to try that out if you ever have issues with aphids or so. calendulas may be the way!! even above ground! ;)
Bin gespannt
...da ich noch nie so ein dunkles Basilikum gesehen habe
