This heavyweight hybrid is the outcome of some serious parentage. The crossing of Cherry Pie x Gelato gives us Sweet Cherry Pie. And sweet she most definitely is! From the team at Sweet Seeds, she's a high-yielding indica-dominant strain (indica 75% / sativa 25%) that is bound to impress all that try her. From seed to harvest, start to finish, she's certainly got a lot to say for herself.
Cultivating Sweet Cherry Pie is a rewarding task overall, and one that experienced and newcomers alike will certainly get something out of. Ideal for both indoor and outdoor projects, your growing options are only limited by your imagination. This makes her perfect for those that want to experiment with LST and methods such as lollipopping.
One thing you'll notice as she begins to grow is her colouring. Dark red and deep purple tones creep onto the leaves and flowers, making for a plant that is simply gorgeous to look at. After an indoor flowering time of around 8–9 weeks, she'll be more or less ready to harvest. At this point, if grown in the best possible conditions, you can anticipate returns in the region of 400–550g/m². Outside is a very similar story. She'll be ready to harvest in late September and will offer up to 350–600g/plant.
Her buds are certainly where things get even more interesting. It's no happy accident she's called “Sweet Cherry Pie”. As soon as you experience her aroma of rich fruits and sweetness, it will all make sense. A scent that will take you back to your favourite bakery, or baking delicious cakes as a kid. This aroma carries straight through to her flavour, providing the same level of sweetness and berries mixed with some mellow earthy tones.
