Lophophora decipiens (peyote): Larger plants sooner

It is always good news when a new breed is added to the psychedelic cactus family. Unique nuances are always welcome in the netherworld of mescaline. Lophophora decipiens is now being considered a seperate species of peyote cactus and not a variety of williamsii.

Originating in Torreon and El Ampero in the Mexican state of Coahuila the Lophophora decipiens is difficult to find in it's native territories. Growing this species at home has a two-fold reward. It helps preserve a threatened species and provides endless insights for the keen psychonaut.

Overall this species is larger in every aspect to traditional peyote. The cactus bodies themselves are larger and grow faster. The white, pink or magenta flowers are also a larger flower with more robust petals. They can be easily grafted onto more virile growing species like Trichocerus for speedier growth.

Seeds germinate easily and produce many offsets that erupt with sensational seasonal flowers. One in one thousand will be pieballed with pale green and sport white flowers with a delicate pink stripe down each petal. Cross pollination is necessary with another decipiens if sterile seeds are to be avoided.

    great service
    Thank you very much, it is a pleasure to work with a company so reactive and interactive with their clients. I will remain loyal.

    Not Decipiens!
    Really beautiful specimen, but for sure not a Decipiens. Maybe taxonomy? It is a williamsii Jourdaniana. Flowers confirm that. But very nice;

    Lovely Mescalito
    The shipping as usual arrived on time and in good conditions. Didn't eat it, my aim is to make it grow :)

    good quality
    It's a beautiful soft peyote that i cut up and dried like chips (think i slightly cut too deep cz it's not growing anymore, leave a good few centimeters margin not to make the same error, peyote is a endangered specie). I took it all, hard too eat but i managed, slow come up, heard very interesting sounds but was a very light trip, in comparison with other psychedelics. Very comforting and soft tripping. would recommend for people to get a feel of what peyote is but not for a super charged trip. Maybe some long fasting before could make it more worthwhile.

    Wunderschönes Exemplar
    Die Lieferung kam recht schnell an. Der Kaktus wirkte sehr gesund und hatte sogar schon begonnen, eigene Ableger zu bilden. Er wächst auch ausgesprochen gut weiter. Sehr empfehlenswert.

    Great service / didn't get desired effect
    The delivery and messages from shop was top class hence my high score. This did not work for me other than minor symptoms unfortunately.
