Afghan cannabis seeds from the Hindu Kush

These genetics come from valleys and plains along and around the Hindu Kush, where cannabis has been cultivated for centuries and pressed into charas and traditional hash. Long dry summers, brutal winters and thin mountain air did the selecting long before any breeder got involved, which is why these plants are so hardy.

What makes a real Afghan landrace

A landrace is a population shaped by one place over generations, not a cross designed in a tent. Here that means pure indica: compact resin factories that stretch to 180-200 cm indoors, produce trichomes in serious quantity, and shrug off conditions that would flatten a modern hybrid.

Nine regions, nine strains

The rest of the collection runs a little gentler: Nimruz and Herat at 20%, then Kabul and Parwan at 18%.

Why regular seeds, not feminized

Because that is what preserving a landrace requires. Regular seed gives you males as well as females, which is the only way to keep a line alive, select phenotypes and breed your own crosses. The trade is real: you will need to sex your plants and remove the males unless you want seeds. If that sounds like work rather than fun, our feminized cannabis seeds are the easier route.

Growing and harvesting

These plants suit outdoor growers in harsh or short-season climates, and they hold up in greenhouses too. Expect height, expect resin, and expect material that presses beautifully into dry sift or bubble hash.
