What Is a Glass DMT Pipe?

A glass DMT pipe (sometimes called a base pipe, oil burner, crack pipe, or vaporizer pipe) is one of the oldest and most recognisable smoking devices. Despite its simple appearance, this pipe is incredibly versatile. The rounded glass bulb at one end acts as a small vaporisation chamber: you place your material inside through the top opening, heat it, and inhale through the stem.

Made from heat-resistant borosilicate glass, this pipe can withstand repeated heating without cracking. At 15cm in length, the stem provides enough distance between the heat source and your mouth for a more comfortable experience.

How to Use: Smoking vs Vaporising

This glass pipe supports two methods of consumption:

Smoking (combustion): Hold a standard lighter flame above the bulb's opening and inhale. The flame is drawn into the bulb and combusts the material inside. This method works well for dry herbs.

Vaporising: Use a torch lighter (blue flame) and apply heat to the underside of the glass bulb. The material inside heats without direct flame contact, producing vapour rather than smoke. This is the preferred method for concentrates, oils, and DMT, as it preserves more of the active compounds.
