Copelandia Man in Black (Stealthbox)

The White Mystery behind the Man in Black name

Man in Black sounds ominous, but the mushroom itself tells a different story. Growers who've worked with this Copelandia lineage describe exceptionally white fruiting bodies, a slender build, and a tendency to grow in very dense clusters, hence the nickname The White Mystery. The spore print arrived at a specialist Dutch breeder's collection in 2024 already labelled Man in Black, or MIB. Nobody knows who named it or why.

This kit is built around Panaeolus cyanescens, a species kept distinct from the more common Psilocybe cubensis varieties.

What you get:

• 1 grow kit of fully colonised horse dung
• 1 grow bag
• 1 cup of topsoil

That topsoil is the casing layer, spread loosely over the dung rather than mixed in, and it's part of what makes this lineage behave and look the way it does. Handled with patience, a single tray can produce several flushes, typically 4 to 5, though this depends on the conditions you give it. Panaeolus cyanescens is known to be exceptionally potent, around five times the baseline of a typical cubensis variety, which is why this kit is meant for highly experienced psychonauts only. If you've not grown or taken Copelandia before, this isn't the place to start.

Advisory information

This product is for adults aged 18 and over. The harvest produces an intense experience lasting several hours, so clear a full day with nothing else planned and don't drive or operate machinery afterwards. Begin with a low dose, and for a starting point matched to your experience, see the Zamnesia Magic Mushroom Dosage Calculator. At this strength, a sober trip sitter you trust is essential, and it's safest not to take the harvest alone. Use it somewhere calm and familiar. Difficult moments, anxiety, confusion, fear, can happen; they pass, and changing the music, light, or your position often helps. Don't combine it with alcohol or other psychoactive substances, and don't take it alongside antidepressants or other medication affecting serotonin, including SSRIs, MAOIs, lithium, and tramadol, as the combination can be dangerous. Speak to a doctor first if you're on any medication. Avoid use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with a heart condition, or with a personal or family history of psychosis, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or other serious mental-health conditions. This product isn't a treatment for any medical or psychological condition. Once harvested, the mushrooms keep for a couple of days in the fridge, or you can dry them to extend that.
