Velvet Moon is a slightly indica-dominant hybrid bred from the US Classic Do Si Dos and Holy Punch, one of the last strains bred by Franco Loja prior to his death in 2017. This fast-flowering, high-yielding hybrid packs a strong cerebral high that quickly morphs into a long-lasting, mellow buzz.

Despite its indica dominance, Velvet Moon plants can reach admirable heights of 170–200cm, with moderate internodal spacing and stretch. Indoors, it's best to top Velvet Moon early and use LST to control its growth and manage its height. If you're pressed for space, consider growing Velvet Moon under a screen to maximise light exposure and yields. If you're growing outdoors, topping, defoliation, and regular pruning should be all it takes for your plants to soak up the sun's rays and produce a spectacular harvest. Given the height of this plant, we recommend growing Velvet Moon in 25-litre pots minimum; if you're growing outdoors and have the space, feel free to use 50l or even 80l pots to grow bigger, heavier-yielding plants. The average flowering time for this strain is 8–9 weeks, and outdoor yields typically reach 700g/plant.

Come harvest time, Velvet Moon will reward you with big, dense buds covered in thick, sticky resin. Its aroma is sweet, fruity, and pungent (like Holy Punch), with underlying hints of lemon and earth from Do Si Dos. Light her up, and Velvet Moon will hit you hard with a strong cerebral high that matures into a long-lasting, happy buzz. An ideal smoke for creative exploits or some simple daydreaming.
