Picking a tent, sizing it and kitting it out
A tent is really three decisions in a row: how big, bare or complete, and what you hang inside it. Get the first one right and the rest follows.
How to choose the right grow tent size

Height matters as much as floor area. The 200 cm tents leave headroom for a hanging light plus ducting above the canopy, which the 180 cm ones do not once a plant stretches in flower.
Grow tent kits versus tents only
A bare tent is the canvas and frame. A complete kit adds the LED, the inline fan, the carbon filter and the ducting, so nothing arrives missing. Our 80x80 kit runs a 240 W light, which is the output that size wants. Buying the kit is usually the cheaper route once you price the parts separately, and it is the one we would pick for a first grow. The trade-off is choice: if you already have a light you like, take the bare tent and pair it with something from our LED grow lights.
Ventilation, light and odor control
Air is the part beginners underestimate. An inline fan pulling through a carbon filter handles both the heat and the smell, with passive intake vents low on the tent feeding it. Ducting runs out through the sealed sleeves so no light leaks back in. Get this wrong and you will notice it before your neighbours do. The climate control range covers fans, filters and timers.
Poles, canvas and reflective lining
Canvas is rated in denier, and the difference is real: our own tents use 900D Oxford fabric on a steel frame with reinforced connectors, while the Dark Box 80x80 uses 600D on iron poles with plastic connectors and weighs just 6 kg. The 60x60 takes 16 mm poles and carries 20 to 30 kg; the 120x120 steps up to 22 mm and 50 to 70 kg, which is what you need once a filter is hanging up there. Inside, diamond mylar throws light back at the canopy instead of soaking it up.
Discreet from doorstep to grow room
Tents ship in plain boxes with nothing on the outside about what is inside, and a light-proof tent keeps the grow itself out of sight. The rest of the kit lives in the growshop.
