Dope Peddlers Get Too High, Call Cops To Turn Themselves In

All around the world cannabis users have their heads in their hands, could anyone really be this stupid?

Much like the wet bandits in that classic 'Home Alone' film, this pair of cannabis smugglers fail spectacularly and actually turn themselves into the police, after thinking they were being followed. If there was ever a cannabis stereotype that didn't need more momentum these two have certainly driven head first into it!

A pair of men by the names of Leland Ayala-Doliente, 22 and Holland Sward, 23, called emergency dispatch after thinking they were being followed. In an attempt to smuggle 10Kg of dope from Las Vegas to Montana the pair became convinced they had already been made and were being followed by unmarked police officers who were avoiding pulling them over.

Having both smoked a bit too much during their road trip, they made a call themselves to emergency dispatch:

“Hi, uh, we’re the two dumb asses that got caught trying to bring some stuff through your border and all your cops are just driving around us like a bunch of jack wagons.”

Only there was no tail and the police were unaware of their attempts to smuggle the cannabis across the border.

“Yeah, yeah. We tried walking away from the car a couple times and that didn’t work. We tried waving them down and that didn’t work so I don’t know what’s going on here.”

Both the men were later picked up by police officers, with their hands behind their heads ready to go. Not far from the men, on the pavement was a dog cage containing the 10Kg of marijuana.

“We got caught and we’re surrendering,” they told police.

Whilst the incident happened over a year ago, Rexburg Police Department only recently released the audio from the call. Both men were charged with one felony count of trafficking marijuana.
