Vaping Cannabis Helps Keep Skin Looking Healthy

Cannabis is packed full of anti-inflammatory and antioxidant compounds - great for those wanting to look after their skin. The only catch? You can’t smoke it.

When it comes to cannabis, the most popular method of use by far is smoking it. Unfortunately, the act of combusting cannabis destroys much of its beneficial content, while creating a lot of harmful components. It results in some collagen-sapping effects that end up making your skin look worse than ever – much like smoking tobacco. However, if you can avoid these negative compounds and just take in the good, skin health can flourish.

This is where vaporizing cannabis comes into the mix. Vaporizing is the act of heating up herbs, like cannabis, until the active compounds within them boil and evaporate out of the plant matter. This completely skips the combustion process, preventing destruction and conversion into harmful compounds.

Without the nasty aspects of combustion getting involved, vaping frees up all of the natural antioxidants and anti-inflammatories within cannabis. These in turn work to prevent damage caused by oxidative stress and aging. It is certainly no miracle cure, but it is likely to help!

MAKING IT TOPICAL

Although vaporizers are an excellent way to dose yourself with cannabinoids in a clean and efficient matter, where the skin is concerned, there is one other way: balms. Making a cannabis infused balm can be an excellent way to topically apply the rich content of cannabis directly to the skin. If you don’t have the resources to make your own, there are also quite a few CBD based balms that offer the same goodness, but without the THC, making them legal.

Also, it is not just general skin health that benefits from exposure to cannabinoids. There is research to suggest that the compounds of cannabis play a role in lipid production, potentially lessening the impact of certain skin conditions, such as acne.

So, all in all, as long as you are not smoking your weed, including it as part of your regular beauty regime may do you some good!
