Peyote with Pups: A special breed of peyote that has the collector in mind
Natively called Peyotl, this cactus first hailed from the dry regions of Mexico. It has been a significant part of history, especially during the times of the Spanish Conquistadors. The Spanish empire was notorious for imposing its beliefs on those who came under their subjugation, and it was no different for the people of what is now Mexico. The Spanish saw peyote as part of the worship of false Gods - peyote itself is considered to be the living god El Mescalito. As a result, peyote was outlawed and driven from mainstream recognition.
Our Peyote with Pups is a special breed. Instead of having the one traditional growth, this rarer, collector's version of peyote grows with numerous pups. Peyote is quite a small cactus in stature; it grows low above soil level when compared to more traditional cacti, with the majority of the peyote cactus growing underground as a large tap root.
They are extremely slow growing, taking up to 3 years to go from seed to a mature adult plant. This, in conjunction with overharvesting and the increasing use of land for ranching, has seen a decline in the amount of peyote growing wild – to the point where it is now an endangered species.
The re-emergence of peyote and our Peyote with Pups is largely due to the establishment of the Native American Church in the 90s. This has seen a keen niche interest build in the area, with collectors wanting to obtain it for themselves. If you fancy yourself a peyote fan, then obtaining this unusual specimen may be right up your street.
Active Ingredients
Just like the classic peyote, the ingredient you will be mainly interested in with our Peyote with Pups is the potent entheogen mescaline. When fresh, peyote with pups will have a 0.4% content; if dried, you can expect this content level to increase to 3-6%.

Superbe acquisition !
Je suis vraiment satisfait(e) de mon achat, la plante correspond parfaitement à ce que j'attendais. Elle est arrivée en excellent état, bien protégée, et sa taille est idéale pour compléter ma collection. Dès son arrivée, elle s’est bien acclimatée à la mi-ombre et pousse régulièrement avec un arrosage modéré. En plus, elle présente déjà plusieurs petites têtes, ce qui promet une belle division future ! Son prix est très raisonnable compte tenu de sa qualité et de son âge. Livraison rapide et soignée. Je recommande sans hésitation à tous les amateurs de plantes rares !

Wonderful item as described!!
Size is as expected but it was infested with spider mites.
I was hoping to leave a very positive review here, however there where multiple issues with my order. First of all the plant had a pretty nasty spider mite infestation. Parts of it either got damaged in shipping or where starting to turn brown and black from the mites.
Aside from that i called to the service desk as they had cancelled my order, they offered me a voucher. when i asked i could have my money back instead, miraculously they had 1 in stock all of a sudden and could ship my order as planned, when it arrived i quickly saw the issues i explained before.
I'm really dissapointed, i decided against returning it because i was afraid you might Butcher this beautifull plant further. it's an endangered species treat it with respect!
Damaged on one side
I wish I could give a perfect 5, because it was well protected during shipment and it's such a beautiful plant.
Unfortunately one side looks corked all over, both smaller and bigger pups. An expert told me that this could be due to lack of light or a previous attack from insects.
Either way it's not perfect.
It is growing incredible well and fast.
He is growing and starting to say it's firsts words, It has bad character sometimes it gets furious other times it's hilarious and some black humour it has, strange cacti.
