Marula Fruit has complex ancestry. Half of her genetics stem from the African wilderness, and the other half come from California. It just so happens that these two strains mix perfectly. Diversity is the spice of life, after all.

Royal Queen Seeds - Marula Fruit: Get Ready To Go Deep

Marula Fruit is an uplifting and stimulating strain named after the psychoactive Marula tree. Marula Fruit shares several similarities with this tree species. Firstly, both of their fruits (or buds) are capable of altering consciousness. Secondly, the Marula tree grows in Mozambique, which is also the ancestral homeland of this cannabis strain.

Breeders used parent strains from opposite sides of the planet to create Marula Fruit. One of these varieties was Mozambica—a sativa landrace from the Southeast African nation. Known locally as “nbanje”, Mozambica is a towering variety with a long flowering time. Her tall flowers produce medium levels of THC and a cerebral and meditative effect. Breeders crossed this wild strain with the Californian variety Mendocino in a bid to infuse her with indica genetics and condense her flowering time.

The project was a huge success. Breeders stabilised Marula Fruit over subsequent generations into a reliable phenotype. The final progeny features 75% indica genetics and 25% sativa. The breeders managed to transfer the productivity of Mozambica into a stoning indica with a shorter flowering time.

Marula Fruit performs well both indoors and outdoors. Her medium-sized indica frame can fit into grow tents, greenhouses, and gardens. Indoor plants will peak at a height of 140cm and produce a maximum yield of 475g/m². Expect to be trimming these buds after a brief flowering time of 7–8 weeks. Plants grown outside will reach a taller height of 180cm and produce a rewarding return of up to 650g/plant. Prepare to harvest your crop in early October.

Save Marula Fruit for those unquestionably chill moments. She’s ideal for small, intimate smoking sessions with your best friends. Her stoning body high will relax everyone in the room and allow the conversation to flow freely. Don’t be surprised if the topics take a profound turn. Prepare to discuss all things DMT and quantum physics. Her THC content of 20% is enough to seriously stone most smokers. If you want to push the boat out further, reach for your favourite space cake recipe. Her sweet and fruity terpene profile will make every bite a treat.
