The original Big Bud is an old school American cannabis strain - a hybrid between Sativa and Indica, that while loved for its smoke, had the bad fame of being quite random. Up to three quarters of female plants of the original Big Bud were low yielding and poorer quality.
The solution to the Big Bud problem was crossing it with a perfect specimen of the other all time classic - Skunk #1. Done by the craftsman at the Dutch Passion, it allowed the plant to produce regular, large yields of kick ass marijuana.
Though quite a tall plant, it grows best under artificial lighting. The flowering takes some 8 to 9 weeks, producing rather intense odour, which makes the use of carbon filtering an absolute must, if the plantation is to remain stealth.
While the THC level is rather low, compared to the modern killer strains (approximately 6%), it produces a smooth and clear high.
